FAQ

No matter how you ended up on our site, we are glad you are here. Often times it can pretty scary to visit a church for the first time, especially if you don't already know anyone. Please be assured that there is a crew waiting for you at the front door, to answer any additional questions you may have. In the meantime, please feel free to read some common questions on what to expect at a Sunday morning service.

What to Expect

How long is the service?

The service starts at 10:00am and will finish at 11:30am. Afterward, everyone is invited to enjoy some snacks and coffee for fellowship in the lobby. Due to our agreement with the movie theater, we are out of the building by noon.

Where do I park?

Parking is behind the building off of Pine Street. Please follow the sign to "Embassy Parking" which will bring you around behind the building in a parking garage. There is no cost to park on Sundays. Feel free to unload first in front of the building if you arrive with children, disabled or elderly. Greeters will be there to help if needed.

Is there access for those who are disabled or elderly?

Yes, we gladly welcome those in wheelchairs or who need assistance to worship with us. There are no stairs and direct access into the theater in which we worship. Additionally, there are designated spaces for wheelchairs and greeters are waiting at the door to help those in need find a seat.

I have children, what options do you have for them?

If you are attending with children, please stop by the children's desk upon arrival to check in. The desk is located in the hallway by the entrance of the sanctuary. Feel free to ask a greeter if you are unsure of where it is. The River Kids (The River's Children's Church) is available for your children ages 0-5th grade. The River Kid's is split into three age groups: Babies & Toddlers, Pre-Schoolers, and Elementary. Please visit our Children's Ministry page for more information.

What does a typical service look like?

A typical service includes the following components:
Worship- Typically this includes a mix of both contemporary music and hymns where individuals are encouraged to worship in whatever way they feel most comfortable and led by the Spirit.
Announcements and Greeting- This is a time to meet some of our members and learn about some of the events going on in our community.
Offertory- As a visitor, we simply encourage you to fill out a visitor's card and put it in the basket as it goes by.
Sermon- A message relating directly to growing in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
Ministry and Response Time- This is a time to reflect and pray. Please keep in mind that God wants to set you free during this time!

What should I wear?

There is no dress code. Please feel free to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in for worship.

What is a faithgroup?

A faithgroup is our term for a bible study or a small group referred to elsewhere. It is a safe place to ask questions, find community and grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ.

I don't consider myself a Christian, am I still welcome?

Of course! We encourage anyone who is seeking the truth to join us on Sunday morning.

I still have more questions, who can I ask?

If you still have questions, please feel free to contact any of our faithgroup leaders or contact our church office using the Contact Us link at the top.
