Sean Richmond and His wife, Laura, grew up in Texas. But do not let their diminishing Texas accents fool you, their hearts and lives fully root themselves in New England. Moving here in 1998 with their first two children, Molly (15) and Annie(13), they immediately fell in love with the people, the geography and our New England sports teams. Thirteen years later, the Richmond family bustles with five fantastic children-Jonathan(11), Samuel(7) and Issaac (born in January 2011) added to the mix. The Richmonds prize family time together with singing, dancing, and lively conversation. Their home often fills with guests and laughter. They also celebrate the wonderful gift of salvation that God so lavishly grants us through Jesus Christ. As a result, they have been a part of starting churches here in the area and the nations for 13 years and look forward to a lifetime of extending God’s love and life to those who do and do not know Him. Serving presently as lead pastor of The River Church in Waltham and president and founder of Community of Faith International, Sean takes great delight in God being lifted up in New England and beyond. You might also catch him cycling around town and in the burbs or just walking a lonely trail in some local forest.

Keith and Tanya, with a child of their own on the way, love spending time with The River Kids. Keith, a school teacher at Park Street School downtown and Tanya, on staff at Children's Hospital, are passionately focused and intune with the children at our church. While investing in the children, they are most encouraged by the child-like and pure faith that these children exhibit in Jesus Christ. They believe that God wants to speak to each of them personally so that they can grow up knowing how much He loves them.
Keith and Tanya committed to starting The River in 2010 when Tanya took on and did a great job at most of the administrative tasks in setting up the church. After serving for a year, they followed God's call and transitioned to focusing wholeheartedly on the children.

Dan Lathrop was born in Providence, RI, but has been a true local since he moved to Waltham, MA when he was 1 year old. He loves this city and is so excited to be here working with the youth, since he too was once a youth here in Waltham. He worked at RTN Federal Credit Union in Waltham for 3 years and left during the summer of 2011 to follow God's call and fully invest in The River. He is currently going through CFTS. He enjoys spending time with friends, playing guitar, eating ice cream, laughing and being goofy. He is a little kid at heart and loves embracing how God made him.
Britt grew up in Connecticut but moved to the Boston area to attend Wheelock College. When Sean and Laura Richmond announced a God's plan to plant a church in Waltham, Britt was one of the first to wholeheartedly jump at the opportunity to love the people of Waltham. She enjoys spending time and laughing with her husband, eating ice cream and taking long walks on the beach.
Dan and Britt married in the fall of 2011.They are both excited to be a part of God's work here and are honored to invest in the lives of the next generation.
