Welcome to the Children's Ministry at The River!
We are committed to providing a Biblical, fun, inviting, and creative program for you child(ren). The River has a fully staffed Children's Ministry for babies through fifth grade on Sunday mornings. All of our volunteer workers have undergone training and are more than willing to answer any questions or concerns you may have. All volunteers have also undergone a CORI check. The River Kids
The River Kids (The River's Children's Church) is available for your children ages 0-5th grade. The River Kid's is split into three age groups: Babies & Toddlers, Pre-Schoolers, and Elementary. All of our classes begin after our time of corporate worship during The River Church Service. The only difference by age is that babies & toddlers classroom is open immediately after the last worship song (as indicated by announcement on the overhead projection screen) and older children are dismissed after the offertory to the children's ministry marching song. Pre-school and Kids for Christ begins after our time of corporate worship during The River service. Kids meet up with teachers and are dismissed from the service. All classes end as the Sunday service ends. Below is more information on The River Kids classes:

Babies & Toddlers (0-2 Years)
We are blessed to have the opportunity to spend time with and care for your precious little ones as you enjoy the worship service. We strive to provide a safe, clean, & loving enviroment. Each week we have a designated point person in charge of our nursery who has been trained in our safety procedures. Our nursery also has a sleeping babies area, and a place for mothers to nurse their babies. You will sign your baby in at the children's table and recieve a number that you will be paged at in case your child needs you during the service. Our Babies & Toddlers classroom is divided into two areas: walkers and non-walkers. Thus, both babies & toddlers are able to engage in developmentally appropriate play and lesson plans simultaneously.

Pre-School (3-5 Years)
Pre-schoolers are an amazing bunch to teach out about our great and awesome God! The excitement is contagious in this class! We aim to have classes that are overflowing with energy, fun, and creative activities for your children. This class utilizes developmentally appropriate curriculum to help children learn about the God who created them. The curriculum is supplemented by play, free time, visits from missionaries, and other church leadership.

Elementary (Kindergarten - 5th Grade)
In our elementary class, children are taught about our amazing God, and are also encouraged to start and develop a life-long relationship with Jesus Christ. The curriculum we currently use helps children to connect their real life experiences to the plans that God has for them. The curriculum is very interactive and incredibly accomodating to this wide age range of children. Based on stories from the Bible, the lessons focus on key virtues and are filled with skits, games, and fun!
