We believe that the purpose and function of the church of Jesus Christ is to worship God and to make Him known among people of every nation, tribe, and language. That's why our motto is "Get Refreshed. Get Revived. Get released." At The River, we have a vision to build up believers into mature disciples of our Lord and then to send them out to share the Gospel of Jesus in His name!

This vision is realized in two channels. First, we encourage believers among us to participate in short-term mission trips. To ensure that as many people as possible are able to participate in these outreaches, we schedule multiple trips in the spring and summer months, and we are always looking for more opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus to the nations of the earth!

The second channel is a discipleship training school that we coordinate with our sister church, Community of Faith Christian Fellowship, which provides students with an opportunity to walk in deeper instruction and accountability - all within a community environment- for a year before traveling overseas for a short-term outreach.
